Testimonials
“Catholic Charities guided my birth mother to feeling safe when she wanted to protect my life but couldn’t keep me. I always knew she made a difficult choice in a very stressful situation, but she knew I was placed with care and love in a home that shared her values. I have never stopped supporting Catholic Charities with service and support in complete appreciation for the wonderful life I have enjoyed because they were there for her.”
Jane Weiland
I serve as a member of the Executive Board of Catholic Charities of Eastern Virginia (CCEVA), an organization that provides support to individuals in the community, including pregnant women, working families, people with disabilities, and seniors facing various challenges.

CCEVA addresses these issues through a range of services such as mental health counseling, financial and housing counseling (including assistance), senior services, guardianship, and adoption and parenting support.
Dr. Alveta Green
I give time and treasure to CCEVA because those who work for CCEVA and those on behalf of whom they work are the best people ever!! The staff are dedicated, caring and loving, and the children and families to whom they minister are equally loving and grateful!
Cameron Meals
I support Catholic Charities of Eastern Virginia because of the profound impact it has on our community, offering vital assistance to those in need regardless of their background. Through its diverse programs, I witness the tangible works of the Holy Spirit every day, providing hope, healing, and dignity to the most vulnerable among us. This organization truly embodies the Catholic mission to serve and uplift others, and I am proud to contribute to its ongoing efforts to build a more just and compassionate society.
Paul Borkowski
“CCEVA has provided my partner and I with outstanding service. Not only were we able to qualify for the SPARC funds through their services, but we gained knowledge and skills from their expertise. My partner and I left our session with a clear understanding of what to expect as first time homeowners and strengthen our relationship as a whole.”
Daniela & Dominick, FHC Clients
“The balance of accountability, access and support has made the biggest impact on my family. I see [my son] reaching for his goals at 7 years old because he knows I’m reaching for the things I want to do.”
Aysia, Aspire participant
“Catholic Charities changed my life! I would not be where I am today without their compassion and support.”
